In collaboration with the State of Maryland, The State Alzheimer's Research Support (StARS) Center Lived Experience Panel is a diverse group of persons living with dementia and caregivers who will gather periodically to inform their state's efforts to improve dementia care services. By sharing their lived experience, panel members bring invaluable information and provide real-world examples to help inform their state's dementia care services.

The Lived Experience Panel will consist of:
  • People living with mild cognitive impairment or early-stage dementia
  • Current or former dementia care partners / caregivers (an unpaid family member or friend who supports someone living with dementia)
Commitment

A one-year commitment is requested. Participation includes:
  • Four 60-90 minute virtual (Zoom) meetings
  • Review material before and after meetings when requested
  • Compensation of up to $400 paid at the end of the full one-year term for participation
  • After the one-year commitment has ended, there is possibility for renewal

If you are interested in potentially joining the Lived Experience Panel, please complete this brief survey. If you have any questions about the form please contact Kerry Finegan (kfinegan@alz.org)
